This is not a surprise to hear, really, beyond the fact that someone actually "said it" on TV. Living in a society that has structured itself so heavily around The Economy, it has a ring of truth to it. The big movers in the economy have the ability to crash the economy, which means they can crash out society into a very deep depression. Whenever they want. It's a very good example of why we should try and spread out/change what our society is structured around.
