The other morning I took a call, like so many other calls I’ve taken over the last four years, from another Dakota farmer wondering how his land may be affected by the Keystone XL pipeline. And people who work in oil refining in Canada (because it's damn hard to find other jobs in some places, believe it or not) and whose jobs will be exported to the US. I can't believe PM Harper has the nerve to portray this pipeline as a good thing for Alberta.

Fixed that for ya. The oil industry owns us and nobody cares. Whatever ever oil wants, oil gets. And if the Republicans win Conrad's seat in the next election, ND's representatives won't even have to pretend to listen to the few people who have grievances about this. And when that big oil spill finally comes...
