seriously. if my husband and i ever finalize the decision to have him get a vasectomy (read: if we ever have to move to an anti-choice state), i'd still take the pill because i love regulating my period. i love only getting it a couple times a year, i love how light it is when i'm on the pill, and i love being practically devoid of PMS symptoms.

Catholic bishops and other religious and social conservatives say pregnancy is a healthy condition and the government should not require insurance coverage of drugs and other methods that prevent it.

...

Do these people know that pregnancy is extremely taxing on the woman's body and in no way 'healthy' for some women? I mean, you're basically lucked out if you managed to have a smooth, problem-free pregnancy. Real pregnancy isn't like the movies, everyone!

Fuck everything.

Srsly. Pregnancy is a natural condition, and one most women manage to get through without *too* much trouble, but it's still not easy or perfectly safe.

let me get this straight

-you can't regulate whether or not you get pregnant because we decided that it's a healthy thing
-but if you have an unhealthy pregnancy and your life is in danger, you can't get an abortion because... (i don't know what to fill in the blank with here because none of the arguments in this vein make sense)

I'll care what the fuck you think when YOU CAN FUCKING GET PREGNANT. (I'd bet that 99.9999% of these "religious and social conservatives are fucking men, who can't get pregnant, won't get pregnant, and can fucking walk away IF THEY DON'T WANT A FUCKING BABY. So fuck you, your opinion is less than shit to me.)

Trolololololo, I'm sure pregnancy was just a basket of laughs and sunshine for you, bb. Anyone who complains is probably just a ~delicate female~

Fuck yeah, I love not being able to reach my shoes to tie them, especially when they were combat boots! Weight gain and stretch marks and no clothes that fit is especially fun, but being too tired to play with my other kids is definitely the winner, though! :D

Also, I'd love to watch some religious dude call me a "delicate female" to my face. The aftermath would be hilarious. XD

And I'm sure after your gave birth your body just went back to normal!

Haha, oh god. I'd love to watch. From a distance.

.... cause I should trust a random dude who will never be pregnant when he gives his Informed Opinions on pregnancy instead of, y'know, an actual doctor.

It would be so awesome if you guys could get coverage for abortion/BC. Abortion in Canada is covered under our healthcare (kind of, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and PEI are assholes about it, and Nunavut doesn't have any facilities to provide abortion services but I'm thinking it's mostly because of a lack of resources up there) and it's pretty rad. As far as I know, the world hasn't ended. There are issues with lack of access tho, especially in rural areas and for First Nations peoples. I'd love, love, love if BC was subsidized too. /csb
