I feel really bad because obviously that life is so engrained into them that they'll have trouble re-assimilating into normal life. This war has ruined and ended so many lives, I wish it would end sooner instead of this bullshit 2014 crap.
Ft. Bragg is home to the 82nd airborne guys. They walk around like their shit doesn't stink and look down on other units that are here and to people they aren't airborne or infantry. They also have a huge sign saying they've gone 'x amount of days without a DUI' and they can hardly ever get over 20 days without someone getting a DUI.
Haha. My aunt was stationed at Bragg, and she said it was crazier than when she was living in a college dorm. She was a party monster and loved it, though. One of Kris' best friends is in the 82nd and is turning into a potty mouth, party animal. I imagine that its like one large frat party.
I'm sure these were utterly randomly, completely spontaneous interviews, and totally not pre-screened and coached.
Just like it was totally a coincidence that certain "types" were sent down to the motor pool to uh, "do...something...with...the trucks...or something, um, as long as it takes at least three hours" whenever the media came around to our barracks in Iraq.

I think they need to worry about going more than 10 days without getting a DUI rather than going to Afghanistan.

Clearly delusional. Also, focusing on the exception rather than the norm, I expect. Of course, that makes better copy.
