for some reason, it's always the little kids I see in the pride pictures that get my attention. Not just the awww cute factor, which is certainly there, but because the fact that I can't even fathom a childhood where I would have been exposed to something like Pride. Here's hoping that they will grow up in a more tolerant world...
The Lisboa ones fill me with so much pride (pun fully intended). Im 1st gen Portuguese-Canadian, and in the community in Toronto, homosexuality is something that is just not discussed. At all.
Seeing a full Pride march in Lisbon...damn. Just DAMN.
It's becoming a family event even for straight couples, I've noticed. Which is nice. :) Also, a lot of kids have a queer auntie or cousin or some family member who'll take them.
