I agree. Finding out someone you respected is a sleaze is bad enough, defending them first and THEN finding out they were a liar as well is even worse. I still feel bitter about the Edwards thing.

Some of his defenders were kinda assholish though in the way they went about it, e.g. victim-blaming the girls to whom Weiner sent the unsolicited texts to. I don't feel sorry for them at all.
