Yeah, I recall another bit of rather cute wikivandalism where someone in "Sherlock" fandom edited Martin Freeman's bio on Wikipedia to proclaim that he was "made of kittens" (it's a fandom injoke).

Yeah, I agree. IMO Wiki's accuracy evens out over time, in that egregious inaccuracies by some users are fixed by others, and can be useful as a jumping-off point for actual research (as long as you know how to vet the footnotes as valid sources). Except, of course, when people decide to troll. LOL

I'm just dismayed that this is even a thing. I mean, just because a politician says it does not make it a valid theory. FFS. What if she says that gravity is only a conspiracy put forth by liberal scientist hippies and the only thing sticking us to the earth is God's love, would people believe her? /RAGE

"if she says that gravity is only a conspiracy put forth by liberal scientist hippies and the only thing sticking us to the earth is God's love, would people believe her?"

The way her followers are, yes. ESPECIALLY if one of her pet ministers endorsed it!

This is a group of people that follow their ministers blindly, and take their words one short step below the Bible, which they view as an unchanging, inerrant document written by God Himself with the help of a few human hands.
When that minister up in Alaska anointed her as Grand Poobah (or whatever), she gained a huge religious following.

Off-topic (because Palin's an idiot and will always be an idiot and I don't want to devote brain cells to her antics) but I can never get over how much that portrait of Paul Revere looks like Jack Black.

I smell a roadtrip buddy comedy about Paul Revere and William Dawes.
