I give Chomsky props (i wuz linguisticks majur) but he does have a tendency to see the world through poop-colored glasses quite a bit.

I do think he's generally right, though. I don't think EVERY TIME we're horrible piece-of-shit opportunists.

...just most of the time.

If you didn't have a chance to see or listen to the event, here's a link to download the speeches from Amy Goodman, Noam Chomsky, Glenn Greenwald, and Michael Moore. The quality is alright, just annoying when they're clapping or somebody near the mic is whispering. I donated $100 to the pacifica drive and should be getting the DVD of the event soon. I loved the speeches that much and want to make sweet lovin' to Glenn Greenwald's mind.

I wish this line was at the beginning of the article so I could stop reading then. yes, Israel attacked Lebanon in the 80s for no reason, out of boredom. I just can't.
