Could we please start focusing on the harmful practices of our food corporations? Freaking please? Obesity didn't just develop because Americans decided 'Hell yeah, let's find all the stuff that's bad for us and eat that shit up!'

FFS, I'm sick of people claiming that this is purely the cause of Americans suddenly losing their self-control between the 70s and 80s.

I find number 3 laughable.

I know a few families - most of mine included who can sit down to a HEAPED plate, probably enough on there to feed two "average" people, and they are all built like bean poles.

But yeah, unfair to kids, probably, but then so is life in general.

There is a guy in my office who is like, 6'7", and weighs maybe - maybe - 150 pounds. Soaking wet and wrapped in lead.

All he eats for lunch, every single day, is Popeye's. On rare occasions, he eats Burger Joint instead.

All this to say: Word. Also, I hate people like that.

I know a few people who are super thin that appear to eat lots and lots of food, but the only reason it seems that way is because what they're eating in front of me also happens to be the ONLY meal they've had for the day, and will probably be their last one until much later.

A lot of thin people who can "eat whatever they want and not gain a lb" often vastly overestimate how much they're actually eating.

Hmm, idk. He's in Poland right now so I can't pop into his office and be like SO I HEAR YOU LIKE MUDKIPS, but maybe I will investigate this when he comes back.

Shaming children--I suppose if you want children to have even more self-esteem issues and perhaps develop eating disorders, have at it!

IKR? Way to decrease their chances of attaining healthy eating and lifestyles later down the road.

Right? It's not like they don't already get shit from all angles or anything!

But if we don't tell someone how fat they are and how disgusting as a result, they just won't know! Especially if we say it's only due to laziness and eating too much, because that's so scientific and everything. So we must do this repeatedly day in and day out over and over again. Just in case. For health.

As an overweight (fat, fat, fatfatfatfatfat...) person this ad makes me want to vomit, die, and bury my head in shame. My old feelings of inadequicy, self-hate and self-destruction I can just feel getting stronger.

This isn't ad for helping, it's an ad for destroying the self-esteem of the fat kids and adults and make them want to die even more. Or atleast me.

Or atleast me.

Naw, it's not just you. As a fatty myself, I see nothing good coming out of this.
