Delaware adopts civil unions bill

DOVER - Delaware’s House of Representatives voted 26-15 this evening to grant legal status to same-sex civil unions, giving those couples the same rights, protections and obligations now granted to married couples.

Our state senate really drags its feet on gay rights, and I'm not sure if they'd have had the votes. :\

That is what I keep wondering! Are they the same or not? And also, a different name for it isn't needed because some churches could refuse to do it and the govt wouldn't have a say in that. But I could be wrong and that couldn't be about that.
