Most single moms are very poor, uneducated, can't get a job, and if it weren't for government assistance, their kids would be starving to death and never have health care," he said. "And that's the story that we're not seeing.

And so are many married mothers. Somehow it's okay for a married person who is undereducated and un(der)employed to have children on the taxpayer dime, but not okay for an unmarried person to do the same?

I would write "single", but Portman is not single -- she's in a long-term committed relationship. The only difference between her relationship and marriage is that one involves lawyers and a bunch of bullshit about a sky god.

What the hell does being married have to do with anything? It would be a bad idea for Portman to have a child were she financially and socially unable to support it -- whether or not she is married. Can't win if you abort. Can't win if you keep the kid without a man around. Can't win if you keep the kid with a man around and still have to rely on public assistance. Can't win if you keep the kid, have a man, and both of you work because why'd you even have the kid if you're just going to abandon it with strangers, you unmothering slut, you?

Huckabee is really on a roll lately.

Keep going, buddy. Do scare off any independent voters who might have been fooled by your congenial act.
