And I love how they couch it in "oh, we can't have cities doing things differently from one another!" terms. IF YOU ACTUALLY GAVE A RAT'S ASS ABOUT BIGOTRY THEN YOU WOULDN'T HAVE TABLED THE ADDITION TO THE STATE HUMAN RIGHTS ACT. D:

If shit like this keeps up, I'm getting the fuck out of here.

One can hope that this sort of thing leads people to not vote Republican (or to stop not voteing at all) in the future.

OH, YES, definitely!

I haven't voted Rep. for over 10 years, but I finally got fed up and changed my voter registration to Dem., and signed up to volunteer with my local chapter.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact that so damn many states are broke or their budgets are in the red, yet they still keep passing these idiotic laws that are SO OBVIOUSLY unconstitutional, which means the courts get involved, which costs money the states don't have, to attempt to defend bad laws.

GOD-do they have no brains? Or do they just think that because the state is broke, that we aren't going to take them to court? Or do they think that the AG's offices cover stuff like this?

I have friends who drove over to Helena for the Friday hearing - I couldn't make it, but I would've done so if I could have. Despite there apparently being a pretty sizable crowd of people there who were against the repeal, their side was given fewer than ten minutes to testify, which was way less time than the pro- side got.

I was actually in the capitol with Planned Parenthood when I found out yesterday, and it took everything I had not to just burst into tears.

Thanks so much for reminding me that you think my friends and I are subhuman, Montana.

I have to admit that I was sitting around waiting for an appropriately unpleasant story to use that gif on. Unfortunately, one doesn't have to wait long. :/
