It's not going to stop him, though- that last sentence encapsulated the 'Breitbart'd phenomenon.

Seriously. Between this and Andrew Breitbart interviewing fake teachers and videotaping "doctors" handing out sicknotes to 'undercover agents', I don't think I can officially say this is an all out Political Propaganda machine against everything remotely democratic.

/in before Bludstone.

Disgusting. Absolutely disgusting. This will not work on most of the people, especially considering how it has been stressed every day since this started that the protesting in Wisconsin has been absolutely peaceful and there have been no major disturbances. But, you know that some stupid smuck is going to think that this is true.

I fucking hate the Tea Party.

and exploit the lazy reporters who just want dramatic shots and outrageous quotes for headlines.

...... I will give them this: They sure do understand how shitty the corporate media currently is. If the major news outlets actually did their job there is no way this kind of trolling would end up being effective political maneuvering.

Yeeeeeeep. I mean, because no major news organization (besides the ~liberals~) has stepped up and said that the ACORN pimp videos were faked, and they were duped, my parents still don't believe ACORN wasn't the hive of scum and villiany that Fox News said it was. *headdesk*

Exactly. And what's sad is that in some cases I don't even think it's a deliberate conservative attempt at whitewashing right-wing lies but more just a corporatist attitude that dictates that you follow ratings and so heaven forbid doing a bit of follow-up reporting and covering a story from start to finish because that would require dedicated coverage and an indifference to ratings wars/market calculations.

How exactly does one reconcile this shit? How does one tell themselves "I have the right to lie and decieve to get people to agree with me"

Easy. By preemptively convincing oneself that said lies are absolute and utter truth (see his comment about the union members being goonish, as the right supposedly knows that they are). It's a way of thinking that places one in a glass sphere, completely disconnected from anything that might contradict one's beliefs.

Granted, it could also be a case of Mr. Williams knowing damned well that he's lying his arse off.... yet not caring, because it serves his interests. I honestly don't know which alternative I find more repugnant.
