Pretty much, and with one of the same roots--major technological changes, and innovations allowing for broader communication.

Hopefully, this will end better than most of the 1848 revolutions did.

Oh, wow. I hadn't read about the 1848 revolutions (as a connected sort of thing) before, since it never ended up in my studies, but it really looks like the same ingredients now and back then- economic downturn, widespread lack of access to basic needs, out of touch leaders, new technologies. Stick a fork in it, it's done.

Qatar, on the other hand, would really be the surprising one and i saw a protest call, but don't know if it's happened yet. The Emir there is really popular.
