I understand their sentiment, but with Assange's rape trials going on, I can't help this is in very bad taste first of all.

There is no rape trial going on. The case was dismissed ages ago. It was brought back into the light for political reasons.

I am happy to learn of this. I kind of doubt they'll actually get it, but at least they've been nominated for it, after everything they've done to increase government accountability.

Definitely seems like that, especially with the references to places like YouTube & Twitter anyway. Not to mention the internet control thoughts going on.

Technically nothing has been proven in a court of law, so the allegations are still allegations.

But yes, Wikileaks itself was nominated, not Assange.
