The brain is so awesome.

And I definitely feel sorry for Fuller. To go through something like that and then hear the stuff in the media he does where nobody really wants to take any responsibility and where gun laws probably won't change just had to affect him really negatively.

since she was shot point blank in the head...since she was shot point blank in the head

Every time I read those words I simply cannot comprehend how this woman is still alive let alone doing so well. There's a grim determined will to live right there, grim determination and a whole lotta hope.

The fact that he didn't use a hollow point bullet and that the bullet he used didn't explode apart is definitely a very big reason because of it. And the fact that the bullet didn't cross brain hemispheres.

Regardless of those factors, it still is fucking amazing. The brain is so awesome.

I'm amazed at how well she is doing. The fact that she seems to be able to move all her limbs and can understand what is going on is miraculous.

As for Fuller - hello - if I got shot at my local Safeway, I think I'd be a bit traumatized.

I don't like the way they're trying to paint Fuller either. He said what a lot of people are thinking (well, maybe not "you're dead" but his anger at the Teabaggers is pretty justified, tbh) Is he saying what a lot of other people are holding in their hearts? If so, that's a problem." Fuck you, dude, if people are mad at you Teabaggers IT MEANS SOMETHING. Listen, instead of continuing to think your shit doesn't stink.

Gabby's recovery is amazing. It's so sweet to hear about all these people standing vigil in the hospital <3

And although Fuller was friendly, he acted odd sometimes, Elder said. Once, Fuller asked him if he was going to vote.

"I told him there are two things I don't talk about: politics or religion. I told him that, and he walked off without another word."

So that's their example of acting odd sometimes? Asking someone if he's going to vote?? I know hardly anyone votes in this country, but I didn't realize it was considered odd now. Wow.
