In the wake of this last week, we've been prompted to be more civil, not vilify, and not go looking for fault in the opposition when- But what's THIS??!! The Other Side has a prescheduled event that creates a minor faux-pas. Quickly everyone! Let's accuse them!
Wellll... Obama didn't go to Arlington, yeah, but he did still go to a different memorial service while he was in Chicago. And I don't recall him going to a fundraiser instead of something important.
To be fair, it wasn't just the party that evening that conflicted, it was also apparently the vigil that was planned for the House of Representatives that occurred during the day that he would have had to miss in order to get the flight on AF1 with everyone else to AZ. Apparently he showed up at the evening RNC event long enough to speak, and then left the event very quickly so he could see the President's remarks last night on TV
