I have to say that outside obvious Tea Party suspicions I was also struck by the fact Giffords is Jewish. We'll see where this tidbit goes, but just... yeah.

I have to admit a ping on my hatedar when it was mentioned Giffords was Jewish. I've been trying my best not to guess things in this case because the news has been pretty badly told throughout the whole situation, but yeah, that did come to my thoughts as well.
