I haven't finished reading it all (and won't for a while, because of that whole "work" and "job" thing), but...yeah, this line?

Finally I asked her ‘There’s nothing I can say to win your vote because my name is Muhammad, am I right?’ and she said ‘Yeah, that’s probably right.’”

That was just the most depressing thing I've read in a long time.

I laughed so hard at this. Because it's true.

All kidding aside, the same things he's talking about doing within the Democratic party could have been done within the Republican party if he REALLY wanted to foster change. Would have been great to see that bold step taken.
