Joe Lieberman, using his powers of unbelievable self-satisfaction for good on this particular issue, wants to keep the Senate in session through Christmas in order to get this taken care of

Joe apparantly shares my sentiment of "Screw the holidays, Hanukkah came too early this year" :D

Me, too. I've felt that way ever since I saw some clips of the hearing on Rachel Maddow's show and heard him say a bunch of very insightful and totally non-douchey things about why dadt should be repealed. I kept blinking my eyes and shanking my head and going, "Is this REALLY Joe Lieberman I'm hearing?" Still can't get over it.

If he manages to pull this off, I'll have to consider actually not hating him any more--at least until the next time he does something douchey again.
