Jindal talked of a need to stop whining and "do more with less,"

WTF is he serious?

This is some serious bullshit. Universities are just increasing fees while cutting more and more programs. I mean, cutting a French program is egregious enough in general (Oh, no one in the world speaks French anymore amirite? Meanwhile we want to roll out a PEPFAR program in Western Africa and send aid to Haiti. WTF people can we think) but in Louisiana? Fucking Louisiana.

Jindal needs to stay his ass in LA and do what he's supposed to do instead of trying to build that 2012 bid.

It's fucked up. We have been fighting so hard to get our program back. I was lucky enough to have graduated in August, but my friends are still there, and the tenured professors, who are close to retirement, are getting fired as well. I started one petition that got 1000+ signatures, I've written letters, attended meetings, did another petition; they just don't care. We held a "jazz funeral" a week ago on campus and had a decent turnout. It just really, really sucks because French is dying in Louisiana, and no one seems to care.

There was another sign there that said, "Bobby Jindal does not care about uneducated people." I wish I had seen him! Our signs would have gone well together!

I remember when Jindal's name was being thrown around as a potential nominee in '12, and then he bitched about volcano monitoring, and, like the swift and furious divine justice in what would have been the most rinky-dink Greek tragedy ever, Mount Redoubt erupted.

Ass.

If only the same thing would happen to the governor of my state (Rick Perry).

And just in the other thread, people were talking shit about how American kids don't care about getting out and fighting for affordable education.

Good on these people for getting out and fighting.
