It'll come down to if the teabaggers stick by their principles (AHHHH-HAHAHAHAH), or prefer to keep power.

I personally have my vote on B.

I prefer to think that the teabaggers are the last spasmodic twitch of a dying political party. Time will tell ... but the GOP doesn't appeal to minorities, moderates, or younger voters. When your demographic is dying out ... you're pretty much stick-a-fork-in-it done.

"McConnell has explained his only real priority for the new Congress with admirable candor. “The single most important thing we want to achieve,” he said, “is for President Obama to be a one-term president.”"

this makes me furious. they really don't give a shit about the people.

How. Is this not. Racist.

I don't even understand how people can look at all this shit and not see that.

tinhat! hypothetical:

“The single most important thing we want to achieve,” he said, “is for President Obama to be a one-term president.”

Clinton had a divided government, and under gridlock all Congress did was try to nail him on something. They did, eventually, and he got impeached, history, blah blah blah.

what are the odds of that happening after this year's elections? obvs, you can't impeach a guy on the grounds of race, but I'm willing to bet that the right will play dirty to get what they want ....

This is exactly what I predicted months ago- if the Republicans do make any headway, they'll wish they hadn't when the bill comes due and the 'tea party' types realize they were completely used by a party with no intention of doing anything they want.
