"The Internet cannot become a haven for harassers and criminals. It just can't," she said.

Little late, I'd say.

But this is good, IMO. (I say this because with as often as employers will go searching the internet for you these days, it is quite possible that things people say ABOUT you on the internet could fuck with your chances of getting a job, and that's shitty.)

I'm glad she won this round, but I'm waiting for the inevitable appeal by Google along with the Court ordered stay on the original ruling while the appeal's being fought.

Because as we've seen with Prob 8 and DADT, you know it's coming. Government and Big Corporations are alike in that neither likes to lose.

*sighs*

Wouldn't this be libel, though, since it's defamatory written comments and statements?

sued Google to uncover the name of an anonymous blogger who wrote the words "skanky," "ho" and "whoring" beneath her online photographs

I still find that pretty ridiculous tbh.

Same. It's an anonymous post that nobody knew about until she brought it up. I can see both sides of this but it's the internet and she's an adult. Giving this much attention, court time and taxpayer dollars for this just doesn't seem right.
