Fascinating series. I'm a henotheistic Episcopalian, so salutations and acknowledgements to Ganesha as appropriate; I've a fine painting of him on one of my bookshelves which I bought back in the day.

I just did a quick web search on henotheism.

I like it. I like it a lot. It's pretty much what I've always believed about spirituality, but now I have a term for it. Yay!

1. @ wrestlingdog: That shirt you're wearing is gaw-juss! You wear it very well!

2. Hindu festivals, at least the ones I've seen photos of, are always so brilliantly colorful and amazing. I love all the colors everywhere.

3. This post reminded me of one of my favorite songs of all time. OF ALL TIME. It's just so intensely boogie-inducing!

Oh, man, it was! My friends and I actually ended up on national television during one of the processions. They had these trucks with massive speakers on the back and people were dancing behind it. My friends and I got pulled into the crowd and got really into it.
