China attacks 'disrespectful' Nobel Peace Prize

China has attacked other countries for supporting the awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize to prominent dissident Liu Xiaobo.

In the first comprehensive and public response to the awarding of the prize, the government warned other nations to think again when considering making an issue of the Nobel Prize and not to meddle in China's internal affairs. ( Read more... )

Oh yes here in the US, with our Pres who has authorized the assassination of a US citizen without any sort of check on that process, who gives lip service to peace while ordering drone attack after drone attack on civilians on the other side of the world, and who consistently sides with corporations over people-we sure do have our shit together. @_@

(Not defending China's shittiness by any means, but I've seen people using this story as a reason to cop a "US Rox~" attitude and imo I don't think it's appropriate.)
