Given the current climate, I don't think I'd have done it, but it's tempting to think of saying "screw you, finders keepers, losers weepers," when they ask for their bug back.
Either that, or toss it on the floor & stomp it to smithereens in front of them.
And if they told me I didn't need to call my lawyer, I'd be on the phone immediately!

What the fuck?! I would call my damn lawyer because that is an invasion of privacy man!

Oh yeah, what if that tracking device would have caused trouble with the car( like shorting out or something) and it somehow crashed? What would guys do?

Now I have the small urge to go outside and check under my car.

And to add, I would have either throw it in a lake, or would have drove to ~* suspicious places*~, like a hardware store to make a spare key, on purpose. Just screw with them.

I'm wondering what would have happened if the guy had just destroyed the device. It was in HIS car (=his possession) after all.

“You don’t need to call your lawyer. Don’t worry, you’re boring. “

Charmed, I'm sure. :/

Sounds like something out of a bad movie. Possibly the Coen Brothers' "Burn After Reading".

“We have all the information we needed,” they told him. “You don’t need to call your lawyer. Don’t worry, you’re boring. “

This line made me laugh. Honestly though, I'd rather be called boring than interesting.

But HOLY SHIT this is creepy as hell. :(
