"Ninety-five percent said they were familiar with CNN, and 90 percent with Fox. Sixty-four percent said they were familiar with HLN, the sister channel to CNN."

Wow, 90 percent really?

"familiar with" doesn't mean "like". A lot of liberals are aware of Fox.

"Lean Forward" for a network that airs prison shows all weekend long.

Might as well be, "Bend Over".

/Sorry, had to be said.

No need to apologize. "Bend over" fits their news/pundit shows as well as their weekend shows.

Moment I saw the advert I thought the article was going to be about MSNBC making inappropriate sexual harrassment jokes.

I am twelve. :/

How can I go about posting this piece of news (trigger warning: contains descriptions and a really horrifying photo of police brutality and physical assault). It's from tumblr about the assault and arrest of a queer woman, Pony Black, by cops.

Sorry to hijack your post, OP. =/

You could probably post it the same way you worded the comment, so long as the triggering content is beneath a cut or in a link. Seems fine.

I'm not sure I like the whole "Lean forward" thing. It's just not catchy as is pretty bleh. I just don't think "news" when I hear "lean forward." I hear "Microsoft trying to rip off older Apple marketing"--it just feels like a bad copy of something.

And maybe it's just me, but I'd prefer "Opinions should be educated" over "Opinions should be earned."

Are you implying that people should actually have background knowledge of the issues they're talking about? I fail to see how that could be useful. -_-
