"DeMint said if someone is openly homosexual, they shouldn't be teaching in the classroom and he holds the same position on an unmarried woman who's sleeping with her boyfriend - she shouldn't be in the classroom."

BUT HOW DOES THAT AFFECT HOW THEY DO THEIR JOBS?! Does he think they play videotapes of their sexual encounters for their classes?

The upstate of SC (where he made these remarks) has made several news stories of teachers sleeping with students recently. A journalist friend of mine there suggested that's where he got his justification. I don't think one thing has anything to do with the other, but. it's the most conservative part of this conservative state so he'll get agreement.
