Mr. Obama announces what has already been widely reported, that he is elevating Mr. Goolsbee to take over the Council of Economic Advisers.

"Goolsbee will replace Christina Romer, who left the administration last week. Goolsbee is considered a centrist, pro-free trader economist." - DN!

But the could-be-worse argument is a hard case to make to the nearly 10 percent of American workers who are currently unemployed.

And when the percentage is much higher when those who are underemployed or have simply given up looking are taken into account.

"As someone who relies heavily on my Christian faith in my job,"

I'll be super glad when society no longer unquestioningly swallows this as A Good Thing in government.

"You’ve got to show the Israeli public that you are serious and constructive in these talks so that the politics for Prime Minister Netanyahu, if he were to extend the settlement moratorium, would be a little easier.”Lol yes if you want one party to stop building illegal settlements and taking over your lands you have to make ~ ( ... )

I'd have loved someone to ask him about the ongoing Rachel Corrie trial and the apparent fact that there are no civilians in war time. Who knew?!

Oh, and (unless the liveblogging missed it) I like how none of the reporters asked him about Afghan civilian deaths, or the recent drone attacks on Pakistan, or about the floods.

or about the floods

I'm clearly a one trick pony today, as the other two things are just as important, but what? =/

Oh I'm just kvetching that none of the MSM reporters apparently bothered to ask him about the floods in Pakistan.

Lawl, I figured. I was kvetching with you. Ignoring all three issues is ridiculous. Brown peoples lives don't matter that much I guess. =/

For the most part this was a joke (on the reporter end). Very few topics were covered, it felt like the same questions over and over. It was nice, at the end, to see the guy I remember voting for though. He's at his best when he's clearly passionate about something.
