Google-Verizon Pact: It Gets Worse

So Google and Verizon went public today with their "policy framework" -- better known as the pact to end the Internet as we know it.
News of this deal broke this week, sparking a public outcry that's seen hundreds of thousands of Internet users calling on Google to live up to its "Don't Be Evil" pledge.

It seems that way from how it's written, but I'm in the UK and we're such suck ups to the US, I doubt that, even should this only affect those in the states, we'd be signing up before long. Plus, it is the world wide web. Even if it only affected them directly, we'd be affected in a secondary manner.
The petition's set up for US citizens though.
