You're right, it probably doesn't say much that hasn't been said in various places, but it's the first article I've seen that really brings together all of the tactics Fox Noise uses to push their political agenda.
I think that Fox News uses the same tactics as any other news channel. The thing is, Fox really takes it to a different level. Sure, MSNBC rings the end-of-the-world alarms on pretty much every news event, but they don't try to instigate their viewers to prepare for it. I think that's the big difference. Glen Beck encourages action from his viewers, both through his rhetoric and his endorsements (his Cash4Gold commercial is a little creepy).
The other one missed is what The Daily Show has pointed out - they use their "opinion" show hosts to create "public opinion" evidenced by as you pointed out "some say ____" on their "news" shows.
