Among them are her support for phasing out Social Security and Medicare; for repealing the 16th Amendment to the Constitution, which established the federal income tax; and for abolishing the federal Department of Education.

... oh, okay.

I should have listened and NOT read the comments at the source. I just donated money to Harry Reid a few days ago too. I figure if I can't vote against her I can at least do something.

No seriously, I don't understand these people. "I FUCKING HATE THE GUMMINT! GUMMINT IS EVIL! GUMMINT IS BAD! HEY I WANT TO BE A SENATOR ELECT ME TO GUMMINT!"

Fucking seriously?

How does anyone running on "get rid of Social Security, Medicare, taxes, and the Department of Education get ANY SUPPORTERS AT ALL?

I'm sorry, but I would never even considering voting for someone who's all, "TAXES ARE BAD, NO ONE SHOULD EVER HAVE TO PAY TAXES FOR ANYTHING ... OH, EXCEPT FOR MY PAYCHECK. I'LL STILL BE WANTING THAT."

I suppose they want the military to work for free, though. Especially since it's just those po' folks that sign up, anyway. /facetious

It's amazing to me that, despite her complete lack of political tact and utterly loony policy positions, she's still apparently got a slim lead in the polls. People must really, really hate Harry Reid.

Oh goddddd I didn't actually look up poll numbers. D: Are there that many anti-gubbmint goobs in Nevada?

Unfortunately, yes. It's not fun being liberal in Nevada, particularly in the north.

I've come to the conclusion that "don't read the comments" is the surest way to get someone to read the comments, lol. It never occurs to me to read comments outside of LJ unless someone tells me not to.
