Scalia Says He’s Glad Kagan Isn’t a Judge

All nine of the current justices on the U.S. Supreme court were federal judges before their elevation, but the nominee to replace Justice John Paul Stevens has no such experience. And that’s a good thing, according to Justice Antonin Scalia.

Outside of his terrible, executive-expanding, habeas-corpus denying, pro-corporatist rulings, (and it pains me to say this) Scalia is a pretty okay person. He has reasonable positions on other issues. Plus him and Ginsberg have dinners together and go to the opera and are bffs and I think that's so qt.

I guess it's the difference of being pro-business war hawk and just a douche republican.

He's still better than Roberts. I'm still pissed about that. I remember reading an article about him when his nomination was up and it was part biographery and made him sound like a decent guy.
