Cool old lady story time: I took Ancient Greek my freshman year. One of my classmates was in her 60s, maybe? Old enough that her only absence was to take care of her granddaughter. She was taking three languages at the same time: Ancient Greek, Japanese, and either Russian or German. Three unrelated languages, three different alphabets... and at least in the Greek course, she was kicking all of our asses, including the two modern Greeks'.

I was about to say her. I go to that school so she's quite the pride here on campus currently.

I wish we could change it to "fierce old ladies", but there are probably stories about non-fierce old ladies that need to be covered too. Damn.

LOVE IT. as a 31-year-old about to finish her freshman year in college, this inspires me a lot.

one great thing about PSU is how many adult students there are... there are a couple of senior citizens in my philosophy class and I love having them there.

also, I'm mildly amused that this comm has an "old lady" tag lol.
