After this, I'm almost certain they won't. Nick saying that and also stating they are "listening to Labour", he's got too much to lose if he doesn't.

Nick did speak to the London protesters! Pretty bloody cool of him.

I was at a smaller version of this in Bristol this afternoon. \o/ I'm rubbish at estimates but there were at least a hundred odd people going through the city centre. Hoping Nick will stick to his guns.

It was cool that he went out to speak to them and I'm so pleased that people are fighting to get their views across.

The best part of the whole protest was clearly this though:

"Down with the Murdoch empire! Sky News is shit!" :D

Love This.

But I have to say... the Beeb isn't much better than Sky these days- biased in their support for the Tories- bullshitting about Brown/ Clegg having a massive argument this morning when BOTH the Labour camp and the Lib Dems have said that this is absolutely not true. They still haven't retracted it.

I think they're doing their best to pitch their own survival, given what the Tories want to do. Not really that ethical I know, but the alternative is awful.

I would have gone- but I've had a presentation to put together :(

Are there anymore pics though? Cos my friend went/ is there and I wanna see if I can spot her in the crowd :)

There is a bit of a write up here in The Grauniad (second half of the article)
http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2010/may/08/pr-general-election-2010

He spoke to the crowd already, this gives me hope-

"Take it from me, reforming politics is one of the reasons I went into politics. I've campaigned for a better, more open, more transparent, new politics, every single day of this general election campaign. I genuinely believe it is in the national interest."

There are a few reports hanging round now, you might be able to find something.

Nick GMH ;) This is why I *know* he won't go back on his word, why he won't be taken into a Conservative coalition without a guarantee of Political Reform.

There were WAY more than 1000. Add those to the ones at Trafalgar Square. Not bad considering it was drizzly and miserable as fuck.

The ones from Trafalgar square ARE the ones who were here. They moved at the last minute.
