I was told that, unfortunately, when he needed more time off in order to deal with things, his request was denied.

CNN can eat a bag of dicks. I think Ware is great, but CNN was never a good fit for him because they're all about short, shallow coverage of stories. I hope that when he deals with his personal problems that there's a place for him at, say, 60 Minutes.

IAWTCSFM. Seriously, they want to send him back to Iraq when he can't deal with his PTSD at HOME? Oh for fucks sake.

That allegation was just from a fan blog that supplied no source, and I wouldn't be too quick to believe it or jump to conclusions based on it. CNN does not have any record of treating correspondents with trauma badly.

CNN International has good coverage. It's just CNN domestic (which is designed for Americans and is competing with a lot of commentators on the other US commercial news networks and the garbage on FOX News) that is shallow.

Hopefully he gets the treatment he needs and is eventually able to come back and work for an actual news organization.
