Dutch officials have rejected a retired US general's claim that its forces failed at Srebrenica because of poor morale over openly gay soldiers.
A defence ministry spokesman dismissed the remarks by John Sheehan, a former Nato commander, as as "complete nonsense".

The funny part was that as the article mentioned, Carl Levin who was interviewing Sheehan seemed completely astonished at what he was saying and kept interrupting him. He would repeat what sheehan said in the form of a question to ask him if he really said what he thought he said. I feel like he just wanted to say "what the fuck is wrong with you" but the obviously wouldn't have been an appropriate response.

On the otherhand, how do you think this will effect DADT? Since he basically said our military was better because we are bigots and eveyone else who ARE our allies are saying we are idiots because we are bigots and they don't like us anymore.
Think it will help in the repeal of DADT in order to keep our allies happy?
