Good! Your credit score has nothing to do with your job. I hate that the credit score has become this almighty number.

Same. Such bullshit--how can you possibly work on improving your credit score if you have no job to help pay your bills?

I do. Hard times are hard times. My credit is shoddy because I'm not employed full-time or permanently. I live in Southern CA (I don't have to say more). I can't afford to pay back the majority of my student loans because I can't choose between them and feeding my family. Credit checks do not mean a person would make a good employee.

I'm a little puzzled by why you would be discriminated against when getting a job because of your credit history.

Apparently it shows bad character and that you're a thief. I shit you not. Bad credit for some companies means you "stole services you couldn't pay for"

Which is crazy because there are eight zillion reasons a person could get bad credit that have nothing to do with "stealing services you couldn't pay for." Grr.

Cell phone companies are the fucking worst. The "early termination fee" that is basically just giving them money for no reason. I can think of no purpose that they would need you to pay an early termination fee. Or why you need to enter into a contract for the service. And then if you don't pay the early termination fee, they'll just keep charging you the monthly service and late fees each month even though you're not using the phone anymore!
