The Federal Government donates HOW much and we can raise over 200 million for Haiti* and these people are in such dire straits and the Feds are burbling on about "The Cheyenne River tribe has for years asked Congress for funds to restore its ancient water system, which Mr. Brings Plenty said was decades overdue for an upgrade. The total cost would be about $65 million, which may be hard to raise in Washington in the current budget-cutting atmosphere."

I realize we have some mighty dense people eating caviar in D.C. but this is SHAMEFUL.

I think Haiti needs help and I'm not saying that help shouldn't have been given, but we also need to pay attention to those inside our nation too

Well if you really think about it, the United States is a huge place...and there are so many areas where the people live in overwhelming poverty. Like you said, it's shameful.
