Iraq Veteran Takes On McCain In New Ad
By Michael Falcone

The independent group, VoteVets, will begin running a new television ad this week that features an Iraq war veteran who asserts that if elected, Senator John McCain “would occupy Iraq indefinitely,” against the wishes of the Iraqi people.

The veteran, Brandon Woods of New York, says in the ad: “What did we fight for in Iraq? I have some idea. I fought in Operation Iraqi Freedom. And ‘freedom’ means when the Iraqi people and their Prime Minister ask us to make a plan to leave, we do.” )

I wonder how "independent" VoteVets really is. I wouldn't be surprised if leftists were manipulating them for political gain.

Right, clearly there are no free-willed people who disagree with your views.

Yep, it's not about what's best for Iraq or the troops, or the wishes of that country's Prime Minister, it's about winning so the Bush administration thinks they can still save face and look good.

This just proves to me what the true interests of Bush and Co. are. It's not about making Iraq independent, it's about trying to prove something by staying as long as we want.
