Interesting read. I'm gonna let it digest in my head for a while before I respond, just to re-evaluate the feelings I already had on the subject the last time it was posted.

Hmmm.

Taken into account that the majority of Americans are either stupid, ignorant, or both, satire flies over the heads of many.

(remember that survey a year or two ago? more people could name the five simpsons more than the five rights of the first amendment.)

This article perfectly articulates the thoughts I had on this cover since the news broke. It should've been hilarious, but unfortunately it turned out not to be much of an exaggeration and therein lies the rub.

Apparently he didn't lay a hand on anyone, just cursed at his mother. I think it's all quite rediculous and a little convenient that crap goes down the week after his biggest weekend ever.
