Please. That "Iraqi spokesman" supposedly speaking for the PM isn't even part of the Iraqi government. He's a Bush mouthpiece.
Funny how this statement was
released by U.S. Central Command
and the "spokesman" quoted has also done White House
press briefings
on
more than one
occasion.
Also, Der Spiegel is
standing by their story
. No surprise, since they have tapes and a transcript and all.
