Olbermann Calls Malkin A Mashed-Up Meatbag
By Megan CarpentierLast night on "Countdown," Keith Olbermann named conservative blogger Michelle Malkin the second-worst person in the world for her work on the now-infamous "Obama song" sung by children at a New Jersey school. Malkin apparently fingered the wrong woman for having written the song and ( Read more... )

Um, he should still have standards, even about Malkin. No point giving the wingnuts even a sliver of justification in their whining.

It's not misogyny if it's about Michelle Malkin.

I have to admit, I had Countdown on in the BG and was merrily Tweeting about marrying people or whatever, but when he said "mashed up bag of meat" I was like... "wait, did I just hear that right?". I mean, yikes. If Hannity had said that about Pelosi, I'd be REALLY offended. But then like you said you have to put it in context, Keith at least tries to be a feminist, he just really doesn't get the whole "feminism means respecting women on BOTH sides" idea.

Plus, I realize it's supposed to be a tit-for-tat thing as was the Ann Coulter bit, but I'm one of those killjoys who thinks tit-for-tat just leads to a never ending cycle of "WELL THEY DID IT FIRST".

Okay. Now I step back and await the wank/lulz.

Bill Maher tries to be a feminist too.

Oh Lord, but the two aren't even remotely comparable. For one thing, Olbermann can go more than an hour without making a hi-lar-ious reference to rape.

While I kinda think Maher is an asshole ... box_in_the_box October 14 2009, 21:40:56 UTC
