I saw the documentary HBO has been running about rape in Congo, and I felt so motherfucking angry.

Lord help me, I'd love to just go handing out knives so that women can start lopping dicks off.

Why don't important women say something about this? Why isn't it on the news? This is disgusting, terrifying and heartbreaking. I am just so pissed.

Because there are so few important women in positions of power. Sadly, gang rape will always be considered a "secondary issue" so long as men hold the vast majority of all high-ranking government positions across the world.

That is true. I wish that while she was running Hillary Clinton had been able to put some of these important but ignored women's issues on the map.
