I don't know why the GOP is keeping on with this tactic. Servicemembers, by and large, don't take kindly to bullshit, and that's exactly what this "death book" claim is. I'm really not sure who they're trying to win over.

As do I. I find it telling that these folks honestly think servicemembers are so dumb/weak/inept that they've lived with a "death book" since 1997 and meekly not done anything about it.
