That guy in the advert is an idiot. I saw an interview he had with Rick Sanchez and his company was fined over $1 billion for trying to screw the government out of money. Why are there no counter-ads from the pro-health care people? I've only seen one lame, embarrassing effort so far and it doesn't even play that often. ps: I'm basing this on commercial at NBC and CNN, so correct me if my perception is off.

Counter ads about what? All I've heard about the healthcare plan so far from people who want reform is what's not in it and what might not be in it.

That's all I've heard as well. I suppose it's difficult to spend money in support of a bill that does not yet exist, but I would have thought by now there would be ads to show the current system is costly and allows discrimination against pre-existing conditions. I'm sure they can find a ton of people with diabetes or cancer who have been turned down by large insurance companies to star in an ad.

Most people agree reform is necessary so those ads wouldn't be all that effective.

Besides that I can't see anyone spending money to support a bill that probably isn't going to do very much.
