Haters gonna hate, but so far, Krugman's numbers have been right-on...

At least he acknowledges the obstructionism and foot-dragging that Obama is facing from the legislature when it comes to any sort of major spending. While representative govermental systems like that of the US are among the best ways to protect individual rights and prevent abuses of power, they suffer in terms of enacting policy quickly and efficiently. It's an inescapable tradeoff, as far as I can see.

Krugman has been right so far. I wish more people would take his advice.

No, it's to cut taxes (and impeach Obama!).

Folks who don't get how sever the econ crisis are, and who think it's just kind of like some sort of sickness that the nation will inevitably get over, don't know much about economic history. Ideological blinders will do that.

I advocated for a larger stimulus than what was passed, along with Paul Krugman (above), James K Galbraith, Nouriel Roubini, and others. Obama cravenly tried to appease folks like you by half-assing it. He was warned that would not work, and then would sap the popularity for a second stimulus if that was needed. One key difference is that unlike FDR, whose program was criticized 4 YEARS after he started enacting it, we are FOUR MONTHS after the signing of Obama's stimulus (LOL). But he cant even order the right sort of mustard for his burger.

And anyway, what IS the alternative? Tax cuts? Praying to the God of the Market for small business ownership to rain down like manna on the masses> I would really like to know.

Let this be even more of a lesson to the Dems to not give a crap what the Republicans want as far as watering down things for ~bi-partisanship~

Now... the "Reason" SP left is because it's too hard to run a campaign from up there, no one pays attn to Alaska. What other choice did she really have.
