Ugh. Talk about a situation with no good answers. The president's a douchebag and needs to be kicked out of office, but has there ever been a coup that ended BEFORE a long and ugly period of military dictatorship? Both options blow. :(

He clearly dislikes the Mario empire in the Video Game world. Or, you know, maybe he doesn't like him: http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&q=manuel%20zelaya&sa=N&tab=wi&um=1 .

An unpopular democratically elected president is still the democratically elected president. And the elite in Honduras would do well in remembering it...

Good for Obama for supporting democracy in a region where the majority of the population doesn't view the US in a good light (and with good reason) and a region where the US has worked to undermine democracy in the past.

And even if the president was a giant ass, that's no reason for a coup. Do things the democratic way and impeach him if he's really that terrible.

Yup, after that lame answer to the Chilean reporter, I'm glad to read this, even if the US took a bit longer than other countries. And whoever gives this administration a hard time over this because they're agreeing with ~Chávez and Castro~ in his "support" of a cReIzEh man, is pretty delusional.
