Demilitarized? Yeah good luck with that. Especially when the state of Israel is going to keep its own weapons. I don't think that's going to work out so well.

I believe the point is that the Palestinians will understandably reject such a proposal and then Israel can say, "See? They're the ones who don't want peace!"
