Hannity Waterboard Offer: Olbermann Increases The Pressure

The debate over torture is getting personal for two of cable TV's prime-time hosts. If Hannity does respond, I'll be bothered that he's making a circus of torture. Because he totally will. But he started it and Olbermann's calling him out for it. And as long as Hannity keeps being cowardly, I'm behind Keith. But if Hannity takes him up on it and goes through with it, that's where my interest ends. There's no way they can re-create the actual practice in a realistic way. It'll only make it look less dangerous and terrifying to anyone who watches, which cheapens the debate that much more.

But there's almost no way he'll actually go through with it. So, I want Olbermann to declare him a wimp and drop it really soon. But then, I'm already really tired of hearing about Fox News for half of Olbermann's broadcast every night, period.

Hannity wouldn't be making any more of a circus than Olbermann already is. They're both blowhards who care more about politics and their own ratings than they do the actual issues. They're just coming at it from opposite ends of the political spectrum.

Hannity's kind of damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. If he does, he'll have to admit how horrible it was and that it was torture. If he doesn't, it looks like he doesn't want to do it because he already knows deep down that it's torture.
